The Truman State men's and women's swim teams opened the 2025–26 season with a spirited dual meet against Quincy University on Saturday at the Bank of Springfield Aquatic Center. The Bulldogs battled hard against their GLVC rival, with the men falling 143–62 and the women dropping a close decision, 110.5–94.5. Both squads turned in competitive swims across the board, collecting event wins, depth points, and early-season benchmarks.
The Bulldogs were led by Taylor Graham, who took the women's 500 freestyle (5:31.64), and Jahmia Harley, who captured the 100 backstroke (1:00.46). On the men's side, Eli Springvloed powered his way to victory in the 1000 freestyle (10:26.66), while Jacob Wolf dominated the 100 backstroke (51.57). Truman also picked up a relay victory in the women's 200 freestyle relay, with Graham, Lucy Hough, Harley, and Layla Walker combining for a winning time of 1:42.64.
The meet served as a valuable early-season test against a GLVC rival, allowing the Bulldogs to showcase both top-line speed and lineup depth.
