ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis University stopped #10 Truman Women's Soccer's 13 match unbeaten streak with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.

The Flyers (7-7-1; 5-6-1 GLVC) made the most of their shots on goal with two of the three getting into the net.  Lewis' first goal came just 1:28 into the second half when Karly Soy headed the ball past Katie Mattingly off a corner kick. The Flyers became the first team this season and only the second in 35 matches to get a second goal on the 'Dogs. Mallory Richardson scored in the 63rd minute from a throw in by Kianna Clark to put Lewis up 2-0.

The last time Truman gave up more than two goals in a game was back on September 6, 2015 against then #1 Grand Valley (Mich.) State in a 4-0 home loss.

Truman maintained their lead in the Great Lakes Valley Conference by one game over Rockhurst. The Hawks are 9-1-2 with a head-to-head loss to the Bulldogs.
