Box Score (HTML)

KIRKSVILLE, Mo.  – In a rematch of last season's Great Lakes Valley Conference title game, the Truman Bulldogs and Missouri-St. Louis Tritons played to a scoreless draw at the Truman Soccer Park.

The two teams met in Louisville last season with the Bulldogs prevailing 2-0 for their first league championship. Truman entered on top of the GLVC race with UMSL right behind the Bulldogs in the top four. Both teams were looking to secure home matches for the first round of the league tournament.

Truman's Stephanie Williams had the best chances during the match. In the second half, Williams lofted a shot from 25-yards out that keeper Emily Rish was able to knock it off the crossbar and away. Later in the half, in a scramble in front, Rish was able to fall on the ball before it crossed the goal line to preserve the tie.

Shots were fairly even (8-7 in favor of UMSL) with shots on goal giving Truman the edge 4-2.

The Bulldogs return to action on Sunday when they travel to Maryville (Mo.) University for a noon GLVC contest. The Saints entered Friday's match at Quincy with a 5-9 and 4-8 league record.
