KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Truman will put their seven-game winning streak over McKendree University on the line when the two teams meet in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game on Thursday night at the Melvin Price Convocation Center in Lebanon, Illinois.

The Bulldogs have not lost to the Bearcats since joining the GLVC and have won seven straight dating back to 1988. They are 12-1 all-time against McKendree including last year's 73-64 victory. In that game, former Bulldog Cassidy Clark was 9-of-11 from the field for 21 points and pulled down eight rebounds and was joined in double-figures by current players Rachel Edmundson (15) and Brooke Bailey (11).

Truman overcame a sluggish start against McKendree as the Bearcats scored the game's first nine points and led 14-8 at the end of the first quarter. Truman bounced back and doubled up McKendree 20-10 in the second and shot 52% from the field in the second half en route to the victory. Truman also got to the line 21 more times than McKendree and outscored the Bearcats by 13 at the charity stripe.

The Bulldogs won their league opener on Saturday against the University of Missouri-St. Louis 71-66 while McKendree dropped their first conference game to nationally-ranked Drury 75-57 on the road.
