KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The calendar turns to February as the Truman Bulldogs continue their four-game homestand with game against the University of Indianapolis on Thursday.

The Bulldogs are coming off their largest margin of victory in the 40 previous conference games played under the Great Lakes Valley Conference banner with a 33-point win over Missouri S&T on Saturday. Truman hit on 13 three-point attempts and shot 52% for the game. That percentage was a season-high for the team and the 61% from distance was the fifth best single-game shooting from three in school history.

The Greyhounds had their four-game winning streak snapped at home by Southern Indiana on Saturday 58-47. UINDY knocked off nationally-ranked Bellarmine 80-65 on Thursday and had won seven of their last eight before Saturday's setback. Their only loss in that schedule was a two-point loss (76-74) to Drury on January 14.  The Screaming Eagles scored 11 of the final 13 points before half and never looked back against the Greyhounds.

Truman is tied for third in the GLVC West Division with Maryville with a 5-6 record but holds the head-to-head with the Saints with a victory a few weeks back in St. Louis. The Bulldogs are two games back of second place Rockhurst (7-4) and a half-game up on William Jewell (4-6), one game on Missouri-St. Louis (4-7) and two up with victory in hand over Missouri S&T (3-8). Drury has a commanding lead at 11-0 and Quincy is bringing up the rear at 1-10.

Indianapolis is also tied for third in the GLVC East at 8-3 with Lewis. Both are a game back of Bellarmine (9-2) and three games clear of fifth place UW-Parkside (5-6). Southern Indiana has top billing in the East at 10-1 and McKendree sits at the bottom at 1-9.

Last year in the Racing Capital of the World, the Bulldogs scored 10 straight points late in the fourth quarter to turn a three-point deficit to a seven-point lead en route to 53-46 win over the Greyhounds. Former 'hound Princess German tallied 32 of the 46 UINDY points while former Bulldogs Courtney Strait and Kasey Gassensmith led Truman with 13 and 12 points apiece.

Indianapolis is the top shooting team in conference games this year hitting 47% of their shots and holding opponents to 36% and a 58.7 points per game.

The Bulldogs, in conference are averaging 68.9 offensively, and shooting 41.7% overall.  Both teams hit around six three-pointers per game.

The Starting Five:
The Bulldogs have used the same starting five for all 11 conference games and 19 of the 20 games this season. Senior Cassidy Clark, junior Ashley Hartwig, sophomores Rachel Edmundson and Brooke Bailey and freshman Sloane Totta.

Clark has been Truman's leading scorer for most of the season at 14.7 points per game. She is averaging 15.8 in the 11 league games played and is tied for seventh in conference-only scoring. Clark is tied for eighth in GLVC-only rebounding at 7.5 per night. Clark scored 15 against Drury and eight against Missouri S&T on Saturday. She has two double-doubles and has tallied over 20 points in five games this year with a high of 29 against Emporia State. Clark went over 500 career points with her eight on Saturday against Missouri S&T.

Hartwig has the most experience of any Bulldog in the line up with 79 career games played and 61 starts. She is averaging 9.6 points this season and 7.1 for her career. She had seven points and four rebounds in limited minutes (14) against Missouri S&T on Saturday. Hartwig is the active career leader in points scored with 538 and is the top free throw shooter with 155 made, 58 this season.

Edmundson is in her first full year as a starter and is second on the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game. She notched her 11th double-figure game scoring on Saturday with 19 points and was 5-of-5 from three and 7-of-9 overall from the field. She is the most three-pointers by a Bulldog in GLVC games with 18, one ahead of Brooke Bailey.

Bailey is averaging 9.5 points this season and in her 50 career games in a Truman uniform is averaging 5.6 points per game. She is the active leader in three-pointers made with 53 and has a team-leading 37 this season. Bailey is tied with Sloane Totta for the team high in assists with 50.

Totta is true freshman that has started every game this season. She has been in double-figure scoring in four of the last six games including 14 on Saturday against Missouri S&T. She has the team high in single-game assists with nine coming against Maryville a few weeks ago. Totta is averaging 7.1 points per game.
