KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Truman Bulldogs and the University of Wisconsin Parkside Rangers will meet on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in a crucial Great Lakes Valley Conference tilt.

The Bulldogs and Rangers have identical 6-8 league records albeit in separate divisions. When the two divisions are combine to produce the field of 12 teams for the upcoming postseason tournament, Truman and UW-Parkside find themselves battling for a potential home first round playoff game. The two teams sit just outside the top eight, one game back of Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis in the overall league standings with four conference games left on the schedule.

Truman will be looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak this season and first in GLVC play since 2015. The Bulldogs lost their second straight after a valiant comeback attempt at Lewis on Thursday night. Truman trailed by 15 points late in the third quarter but clawed back to within two points with just under two minutes left to play. Lauren Boerger led the Rangers in scoring with 14 points and Olivia Montague knocked down three, three-pointers for 11.

Truman has won all three previous games played against the Rangers since joining the league in 2014. In their only other visit to the UWP campus, the Bulldogs closed the game on a 16-3 run and overcame a 10-point deficit in a 74-68 win on January 5, 2014. The two most recent matchups both took place in Kirksville with Truman winning 78-66 in 2015 and 65-56 last year. Cassidy Clark was 8-of-9 from the field and scorer her then-Truman career high of 18 points against the Rangers.
