KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The push to the GLVC Tournament continues for the Truman Women's Basketball team when they host Rockhurst University for Senior Day on Saturday.

The Bulldogs will have one senior to recognize prior to the game with the Hawks. Cassidy Clark is Truman's leading scorer this year at 15 points per game and is coming off her third double-double of the season on Thursday in Truman's 67-51 win over William Jewell. Clark poured in 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and added seven of nine from the free throw line as Truman led wire-to-wire for the second straight game.

That win was important for the Bulldogs on many factors. First is solidified a spot in the conference tournament for the fourth straight year in the GLVC and fifth straight postseason league party. The next was it moved Truman into a tie for eighth place with the Cardinals and would holds the tiebreak over Jewell based on divisional record (4-4 vs. 3-5).  That eighth spot would host a first round game on February 26.

Rockhurst secured at least a first round home game and are looking to jump into a first round bye in the final two games. The Hawks are 11-5 and in second place in the West Division. They are one game back of fourth overall trailing Bellarmine and Lewis by one game in the combined GLVC standings. In the battle of league Hawks on Thursday night, Mary Dineen scored 21 points and Jillian Myers added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Rockhurst Hawks downed the Quincy Hawks 68-58. Rockhurst has won four straight road games and six of their last eight games overall.

The two teams opened up league play back on December 1 and Rockhurst prevailed 72-67 in Kansas City. The Hawks outscored the Bulldogs 17-10 in the final quarter and had four players, led by Dineen's  20 points, in double figures. Truman got 23 from Clark and a double-double from Ashley Hartiwg (18 points, 11 rebounds) but managed three, three-pointers out of 20 attempts and went 10-of-19 from the foul line.

Truman is 4-4 in Saturday conference games. Rachel Edmundson (13.1), Cassidy Clark (12.5) and Ashley Hartwig (11.8) have led the Bulldogs in scoring during these afternoon affairs.
