RECAP: Saints Stop Bulldogs 1-0

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Caite Huesgen scored her third goal of the season to stop the Truman Women's Soccer team's four-game winning streak on Friday afternoon in Kirksville.
 
Huesgen got a cross from Ashley Pogue on the right and chipped it in past Katie Mattingly for the lone score of the contest with 15 minutes left to play. The Bulldogs and Saints were two of four teams atop the GLVC with four victories apiece entering the game.
 
The Bulldogs had their chances as they peppered Alison Riddle with 13 total shots and seven on goal. One of the best chances came in the first minutes of the contest when Kelsey Murphy sent a pass across the right side of the box but the shot from Delaney Kooken was denied by Riddle with a diving save.
 
Truman will return to the field on Sunday facing the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 2:30 p.m. at home.
