KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Bulldog Women will be looking to rebound after suffering a tough loss at home on Monday night when they travel east to face the University of Indianapolis on Thursday night and the University of Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs have taken the last two meetings with the Greyhounds and three of the last four including last year's 71-61 win in Pershing Arena. Truman's last visit to Nicoson Hall saw the Bulldogs escape with a 53-46 win back in 2016.

After leading the conference and being one of the top teams in Division II in ball security, Truman was stymied by the Drury Lady Panther defense and turned the ball over a season high 27 times in their 57-46 loss to the eighth ranked Lady Panthers on Monday. The 46 points were the lowest output by a Truman team in a GLVC game.

The bright spot on the night for Truman was freshman Katie Jaseckas pulling down 18 rebounds, which tied for 10th most in a Truman single game with Jennifer Perkins (at Northwest Missouri in 2002) and Natalie Schupbach against Southwest Baptist in 2007. It was the most rebounds by a Bulldog since Megan Sharpe pulled down 15 against Northwest Missouri in 2011.

Despite the loss, Truman remained a solid fourth in the updated GLVC Points Ratings System. The Bulldogs have an average of 3.79 while third place Southern Indiana is at 4.33 and fifth place Illinois Springfield is at 3.07.

Indianapolis had the luxury of not playing on Monday night and enters Thursday's tilt with a 5-12 overall record and 2-5 in the GLVC. The Greyhounds suffered a pair of double-digit losses to the two heavyweights in their division, Southern Indiana 71-58 and Lewis 88-63 this past week. UINDY is 3-5 at home this season and led by one of the top individual scorers in the conference in senior Martha Burse. She is averaging 21.7 points per game this year with 29 three-pointers and has a team-high 68 steals.

Series History with UINDY:
Truman looks to pull even with Indianapolis in the all-time series between the two schools.  This will be the 12th overall meeting with UINDY winning six games to Truman's five. The Bulldogs have won the last two and three of the last four. In conference games, the Bulldogs lead the series 3-1. They met in 2015 in the GLVC postseason tournament with UNIDY winning in Kirksville 72-51.

Last year, four Truman starters topped double-figures with Rachel Edmundson and Brooke Bailey connected on 11 total three-pointers in the 71-61 win over UINDY. Edmundson hit five treys and tallied 20 points while Bailey knocked down six triples for 18 points. Cassidy Clark (12) and Ashley Hartwig (11) joined the duo in scoring. Martha Burse was 13-of 26 from the field to lead the 'Hounds with 31 points and Nicole Anderson scored a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Bulldogs outscored the Greyhounds by nine at the foul line.

Game vs. Southern Indiana:
Truman will face their second ranked opponent in less than a week when they visit Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon in Evansville. The Screaming Eagles enter the week ranked 21st in the latest WBCA Coaches poll and they are 5-1 in league and 13-2 overall with a home date with Missouri S&T on Thursday night.

Series History With Southern Indiana:

Last year's game in Pershing saw 10 ties and 10 lead changes with the last occurring with 1:48 left to play. A couple of missed shots by the Bulldogs and some made free throws by the visitors led to USI winning 72-67. The Screaming Eagles hit seven of eight free throws in the final minute and a half to win. Guards Tanner Marcum (22 points) and Kaydie Grooms (19 points) led USI while Rachel Edmundson (19) and Cassidy Clark (17) paced the Bulldogs.

???????GLVC Ratings System
The conference unveiled its points rating system to determine the top eight teams for the league postseason tournament. The system is designed to award points based on opponents winning percentages throughout the year. The most points a team can earn would be seven points for a road win against an opponent with a .750 or above winning percentage while a team could not get any points for a home loss to an opponent with an under .250 winning percentage.

Currently, Truman's rating jumped up from 3.67 to 3.79 after Monday's night's contest and is still in fourth place. Drury leapfrogged to the top spot with their win at Truman and has a rating of 4.83. Lewis is second at 4.38 and Southern Indiana third at 4.33. Illinois Springfield holds down the fifth spot and would be the Bulldogs opponent if the season ended today at 3.07.
