QUINCY, Ill. – A pair of double-doubles by Katie Jaseckas and Ashley Hartwig lifted the Bulldog offense out of a funk as they downed rival Quincy Hawks 73-63 on Saturday afternoon on the road.

Jaseckas played a season-high 30 minutes and tallied her fifth double-double of the year and first in eight games scoring 16 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Hartwig cracked double figure scoring for the first time in nine games and notched her first double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 boards.

Rachel Steinhoff added 10 points and Maddie Tharp, who had sat out the previous seven games and was playing in only her eighth game of the year, went 4-for-6 from the field for a career-high eight points. Tharp scored six straight points for Truman after the Hawks had cut a 12-point lead down to nine midway through the third quarter.

The offense got rolling early. After being held in the forties the previous three games, the Bulldogs had 40 points at the half. Truman shot over 50% in the first 20 minutes with Hartwig connected on four of her first six shots.

The Bulldogs led by 19 at the 4:12 mark of the second quarter but Quincy chipped away using the long ball. The Hawks made 12 three-pointers on the afternoon and eventually closed the gap down to five points at 60-55 with 5:13 to play.
