KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Bulldogs will look to build upon the momentum gained from Saturday's road win at Quincy when they start a four-game home stand on Thursday night against UW-Parkside.

Truman got off the snide with big performances by Ashley Hartwig and Katie Jaseckas at Quincy on Saturday. Hartwig scored 11 and pulled down 10 rebounds and Jaseckas tallied 16 with 13 boards in the 73-63 win.

The Bulldogs snapped their seven-game losing streak on Saturday. In four of those losses, Truman lost by an average of 18 points while in three losses, the average was only 3.6 points.
Every win is precious down the stretch as Truman is clinging on to one of the final spots for the Great Lakes Valley Conference postseason tournament. In the latest edition of the GLVC Point Ratings System, the Bulldogs are tied for seventh with Rockhurst at 2.86 while McKendree is two-tenths back at 2.68.

Parkside comes to town for the last time under the GLVC banner as they are departing the league after this season for the GLIAC. The Rangers are currently 12th in the Points Rating system but are ineligible for the tournament due to conference sanctions. UWP is 8-18 overall and 4-10 in the GLVC.

The Rangers are 1-7 away from their home court and 1-5 in the GLVC. They lone win on the road came at Maryville on January 27 60-55. They were in line for a road win at Quincy last Thursday but let a 16-point fourth quarter lead evaporate as the Hawks won 62-59.

On Saturday, UWP played their longtime travel partner Lewis for the final time as conference members. Lewis' Jessica Kelliher was on fire with 17-of-22 field goal makes and scored 37 points in the Flyers' 75-63 win over the Rangers. Asiah Lawson led UWP with 17 points off the bench.

Last year, Ashley Hartwig played 38 minutes and notched a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards in Truman's 63-58 win over the Rangers. Hartwig was 5-of-9 from the field and 8-of-9 at the line and was matched in scoring by Rachel Edmundson. Brittney Fair led UWP with 14 points.

???????GLVC Ratings System
The conference unveiled its points rating system to determine the top eight teams for the league postseason tournament. The system is designed to award points based on opponents winning percentages throughout the year. The most points a team can earn would be seven points for a road win against an opponent with a .750 or above winning percentage while a team could not get any points for a home loss to an opponent with an under .250 winning percentage.

Currently, Truman's rating rose from 2.73 to 2.86 after Saturday's win over Quincy. The Bulldogs are still in a precarious situation tied for the last tournament spot with Rockhurst without tiebreakers being applied. McKendree is ninth at 2.68 with Truman holding a victory over the Bearcats back in December as the only meeting between the two schools.
