KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – After matching a season-best five-game winning streak, the Truman ladies head to the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon in Edwardsville, Illinois. Truman will take on third-seeded Lewis at 2:30 p.m.

The last time Truman won five straight this year they were stopped at home by the Flyers 73-58 on January 6. The two-time and reigning GLVC Player of the Year, Jessica Kelliher was 11-of-13 that afternoon with 26 points and 11 boards as Lewis erased an early five-point Truman lead to win going away.

Kelliher will match up against the GLVC Freshman of the Year Katie Jaseckas. The Bulldog frosh tallied 16 points for Truman against Lewis and was joined in double-figures by Brooke Bailey with 11 and Ashley Hartwig with 10.

Jaseckas stole the spotlight on Senior Day on Saturday scoring a season-high 26 points and adding 13 rebounds in the 73-49 rout of Illinois Springfield. Jasekcas leads the Bulldogs in scoring, the first freshman to do so in 10 years, at 11.3 points per game.

Jaseckas was named to the All-Freshman team and second team all-league. Sloane Totta and Rachel Edmundson were both named to the third team all-GLVC squad.

The Flyers have won five of their last six games including a senior day win over second-seed Southern Indiana 72-71. Kelliher scored 28 points over the #14th-ranked Screaming Eagles with also earned her seventh GLVC Player of the Week honor this season, the most by any other previous conference player, and 13th career weekly honor. Kelliher leads the Division II in scoring at 25.3 points per game. In addition to her Player of the Year award, she was joined on the all-conference team for Lewis by sophomore forward Rachel Hinders.

This will be the third trip to the quarterfinal round for the Bulldogs since joining the GLVC and the second time Lewis will be the opponent. In 2014, en route to their first postseason tournament title in school history, the Bulldogs knocked off the Flyers 84-70 in Evansville, Indiana.
