KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The final two road games on the schedule are the shortest trips for the Bulldogs this season. The roadie will begin on Thursday night at William Jewell and continue on Saturday at Quincy.

The Cardinals are just ahead of the Bulldogs in the Great Lakes Valley Conference points rating system. Jewell is sitting in sixth at 3.08 while the Bulldogs are tied with McKendree in seventh at 2.79. Nipping at Truman's heels now is Rockhurst at 2.67 after the Lady Hawks stunned Truman with 31 fourth quarter points and sent the Bulldogs to their sixth straight loss on Saturday 54-48.

The Bulldogs led by nine 32-23 in the fourth quarter against Rockhurst in a low scoring contest but the Lady Hawks found the basket when it counted and scored all 31 of their fourth quarter points over the final 8:19 of the game. Rockhurst took the lead with 1:48 to play and used strong free throw shooting down the stretch.

Truman shuffled the starting lineup with Kennedy Martin, Brooke Bailey and Tiffany Davenport making their first starts of the season and Bailey led Truman with 14 points.
The Cardinals have see-sawed wins and losses in the past six games. They avenged an earlier loss at Missouri S&T on Saturday with a 66-54 home win. Kayla Harrell, who leads the Cardinals in scoring at 13.3 points per game, scored 20 points with four three-pointers.

Last year, Truman and Jewell split their conference games. In the first game played in Liberty, the Cardinals used a 23-11 third quarter to go up eight then extended their lead to as many as 15 before Truman mounted a comeback. The Bulldogs whittled the margin down to 61-60 with 1:21 to play but Maddie Nelson tallied five straight points in crunch time to lift Jewell to a 68-63 win.

In the second meeting in Kirksville on February 16, Cassidy Clark went 9-of-12 from the field and the Bulldogs pounded the Cardinals with a 19-6 first quarter to win going away 67-51. Clark finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Hartwig added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Truman leads the all-time series 7-2 and are 2-1 in games played in Liberty. Last year's 16-point win by Truman was their largest in the series while Jewell's largest win was 17 points in 1988.

Game with Quincy:
Two old rivals will meet for only one time this season as Truman heads east to Quincy for a Saturday GLVC game. The two teams have met 10 times over the past four years with two meetings taking place in the conference tournament but due to realignment with 15 schools this year, they will meet just once in the regular season.  Quincy hosts Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday night.

Last year, Truman won by 20 in Pepsi Arena 62-42 with Cassidy Clark (18), Brooke Bailey (16) and Ashley Hartwig (15) leading the scoring for the 'Dogs. Alexa Low was 6-of-8 from the field for a game-high 12 points for Quincy.

The regular season finale was a different affair. The teams exchanged the lead seven times over the first half of the game and Truman used a 22-9 third quarter to take a 48-40 lead. The Bulldogs led by 12 in the fourth but Quincy chipped away and made it a one-possession game on three separate occasions over the final two minutes with Truman holding on 68-63. Clark finished with 26 points with Rachel Edmundson and Sloane Totta adding 11. Cha Cha Williams placed the Hawks with 13 points and Selina Barnes added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

It will be the 50th meeting all-time between Truman and Quincy with the Lady Hawks holding a 25-24 advantage in the series. The Bulldogs are 7-15 in games played in Quincy.
