KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Augustana Vikings spoiled the home debut of the Truman Women's Basketball team on Saturday. The Vikings downed Truman 83-62 behind five players scoring in double-figures. The Bulldogs return to action Friday night at 5:30 p.m. hosting Avila (Kan.).

Augustana (1-0) never trailed in the game scoring seven of the first nine points. The Bulldogs (2-1) had a mini 6-0 run to tie the game at 12 but Lizzy Karp knocked down a three to spark a 15-4 run to push the advantage to 11 early in the second quarter.

Truman clawed back with
Maddie Re scoring five straight and
Sloane Totta draining a triple to pull the Bulldogs to within three at 30-27. Augustana would hold a nine-point lead at half 44-36.

The margin would balloon up to 20 points in the third quarter and stayed there for the remainder of the game.

Re recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds while Totta was the leading Truman scorer with 14 points.
Katie Jaseckas scored nine points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Truman shot 39% for the game but only hit three of 18 from three and 11-of-22 from the foul line.

Vishe Rabb paced the Vikings with 15 points and Augustana shot 42.5% for the game, 8-of-29 from three and were 13-of-18 at the line.
