SEARCY, Ark. – The Harding Bison completed the four-game sweep over the Truman Bulldogs on Saturday by taking both ends of Saturday's doubleheader. Harding won 10-0 and 7-0. Truman will continue their season-opening road trip with a stop at Newman (Kan.) University next weekend.
Game 1 (Harding 10, Truman 0) Box Score
Logan McCall kept the Truman offense off balance and held the Bulldogs to two hits through six innings of work in Harding's 10-0 win in game three of the series. McCall faced 22 Truman hitters and allowed only singles to
Kory Carter and
Adam Stolley.
Carter's hit came in the second inning with
Holden Missey standing on second base. Missey round third on the ball to right field but was thrown out at the plate to end the inning. Harding took advantage of some errant pitching by the Bulldogs to go up 1-0 in the bottom of the second. A pair of walks followed by a wild pitch and a passed ball led to the run.
The Bison broke things open in the third by sending 11 hitters to the dish and scoring six runs. They would add two in the sixth and another in the seventh for the run-rule win.
Mason Hatch took the loss for Truman.
Game 2 (Harding 7, Truman 0) Box Score
Once again in the fourth game of the series, Harding got out of an early jam and turned around to score on the Bulldogs. This time in the third inning as
Jack Goodwin led off with a single and went to second when
Brendan Kelly was hit by a pitch.
Mason King struck out swinging and
Ethan Kleinheider flied out to strand the two runners.
Harding got a two-run double in their half of the third and plated another run for a 3-0 lead. They added runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take the four-game series finale 7-0.
Steven Bradbury had a two-out double in the sixth but Truman left both runners in scoring position.

Blake Bagenstos allowed three runs on five hits through three innings to take the loss on the bump for Truman while Kaden Kirby pitched shutout innings for the win.

Truman will play Newman (Kan.) in a four-game series next weekend in Wichita.
