RECAP: Men's Tennis Downed Twice At Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa – The Truman Men's Tennis team lost a pair of indoor dual matches on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell by 9-0 scores to both Principia (Ill.) College and Grinnell. The Bulldogs will play at home for the first time in 2019 on March 20 against Missouri Valley College.
 
Principia took all three doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-0 and 8-6 and won five of the six singles contests in straight sets. Matt Thiele was able to force a tie breaking set at number five with a 6-3 win in set two over Brody Swan but was narrowly defeated 10-8 in the third.
 
The hosts of the day, Grinnell also completed the sweep with 8-0, 8-0 and 8-3 doubles scores and straight set wins in the six singles.
