The Bulldogs counter punched with a 15-0 spurt that ended the first and started the second quarter with Maya Mouton and Weise providing the spark off the bench.

Rockhurst would close the lead back to three points on three different occasions but Re provided the haymaker by beating the clock at the half buzzer with a layup to give Truman the 42-37 advantage.

The third quarter was owned by the Bulldogs as they scored 27 points to the Hawks' 12 and led 69-49 by the end of the quarter.

The Hawks scored the first eight to start the final stanza but Thomas would go to work inside and score nine of her 18 points in the quarter and Truman put the game on ice.
