KIRKSVILLE- The Truman Women's Basketball team set a school-record winning their 14th conference game of the season in dominate fashion as they downed Southwest Baptist 80-66 on Senior Day.Â

Southwest Baptist (13-13; 7-11 GLVC) started the game on a 9-5 run to jump out to an early lead. The Bearcats wouldn't get too far from Truman as their largest lead of the contest was six points.

The Bulldogs (18-7; 14-4 GLVC) trailed early in the contest, but two consecutive three-pointers from Tiffany Davenport gave the Bulldogs the 18-16 lead in the first. The teams would finish the first quarter tied at 20.Â

Truman would score 18 unanswered points during their 25-2 second-quarter run. The lead would get to as many as 26 points. The Bulldogs would make eight three-pointers in the first half on only 13 attempts.Â

Hannah Belanger had her third 20-point night leading the charge with 24 and added a career-high seven rebounds. Belanger's six three-pointers tied a career-high of triples made which she did earlier this season against Southern Indiana.Â

Katey Klucking finished with 14 points knocking down four threes and also adding five assists. Davenport made three three-pointers finishing with 11 points. The Bulldogs shot 52% from the field and made 13 long range shots.Â

Truman dominated the glass 40-29 but lost the turnover battle (20-10).Â

Kyleigh Vaught led the Bearcats with 17 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Regan Tibbits finished with 14 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Southwest Baptist shot 40% from the field, 6-of-23 from the three with 11 steals.

The Bulldogs will finish the regular season on the road where they will take on Maryville University and Missouri S&T. Truman defeated Missouri S&T 87-71 and defeated Maryville 78-77 at home earlier this season.
