KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Winners of five straight and 10 of their last 11 games, the Truman Women's Basketball team will welcome Great Lakes Valley Conference newcomer Lindenwood University on Thursday and the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday to Pershing Arena.

The current five-game winning streak matches the season's longest winning streak that has been only separated by a one-point loss to Lewis University on January 18. The Bulldogs are in third place in the league's point rating system with a mark of 4.21, trailing only Lewis (4.25) and the nation's top team Drury (21-0/12-0 GLVC) 4.96 PSR) in the standings.

The team has nine wins against the bottom six teams in the PSR with the other two wins coming against #5 Southern Indiana and #8 Maryville. Left on the schedule will be road games against #1 Drury, #4 Indianapolis, #7 Bellarmine, #8 Maryville, #12 Missouri S&T and home tilts with #6 Lindenwood, #9 Missouri-St. Louis and #9 Southwest Baptist.

Senior Sloane Totta is on the verge of a milestone in her Bulldog career. Totta enters the week with 987 points and is poised to become the 21st member of the 1,000-point club at Truman. The last Bulldog to hit the mark was Courtney Strait in 2016. The guard also sits with 329 assists and is within striking distance of third on the Truman career charts. Allie Norton (331), Lisa Jacques (336) and Jeanette Cleven (337) are the next three on the list for Totta to pass while number two Becca McHenry (369) and Amy Eagan (529) will be ahead.

Totta got to this point after knocking down a career-game best six three-pointers and scoring 23 points in Truman's 72-65 win over William Jewell on Saturday. Katey Klucking matched a season-high with 10 rebounds and Katie Jaseckas recorded her second double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

Georgia Mueller (2009), Michalina Tomczak (2015) and Sarah Sommer (2004) all have 39 blocks and Jennifer Perkins (2002) has 41 blocks.

Freshman Hannah Belanger is tied for second in both overall and conference in three-point shooting percentage. Belanger has made 48 of 100 attempts overall and 34-of 68 (50%) in league games. She has averaged 12.9 points overall and 13.9 in conference.

History With Lindenwood:

The Bulldogs swept the two games played under the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association flag during the 2013 season with Truman winning in St. Charles 86-65 and 74-50 in Kirksville. The two non-conference games were played in 1976 (Lindenwood 110-17) and most recently in 2018 with the Lions handing Truman their first loss of the season 94-83 at the Drury Thanksgiving Tournament in Springfield. In that game, Sloane Totta led Truman with 18 points and Kallie Bildner scored 26 with 12 rebounds for the Lions.

Since joining the GLVC, the series is 6-5 in favor of the Bulldogs with neither team winning more than two straight. The Bulldogs can break that trend as they have taken the last two against UMSL, both coming in Pershing Arena. The Bulldogs won 71-66 in December 2017 and 66-61 last January. In that game, Truman led by 15 in the second quarter before UMSL got as close as four. Seniors Rachel Edmundson (19) and Brooke Bailey (18) led Truman while Kaitlynn Henning led UMSL with 17.
