Box Score (HTML)

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Senior Sloane Totta scored a season-high 26 points but the Lindenwood Lions rallied in the fourth quarter for a 72-65 win over the Truman State Women's Basketball team. The Bulldogs fall to 15-5 overall and 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Truman led by as many as seven after Totta's first basket of the fourth quarter and by five with 4:58 to play. The Lions got a conventional three-point play from Devin Fuhring and then leading scorer Kallie Bildner had a personal 7-0 run to put Lindenwood (12-7; 8-5 GLVC) up by five with 1:16 to play.

The Bulldogs were able to cut it to three on two more occasions but free throw shooting down the stretch allowed the Lions to leave Pershing Arena with the win.

Truman only made one three-pointer in the first half on 1-of-6 shooting in the first quarter and 0-for-3 in the second. The Lions took advantage of the Bulldogs shooting struggles and climbed out to a 27-17 lead on 11-of-18 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from behind the arc in the first quarter. Both teams had trouble scoring in the second quarter combining for only 16 points but Lindenwood went into the half with a 34-26 lead.

Truman opened the second half with an 11-2 run to take their second lead of the game at 37-36. The Bulldogs outscored Lindenwood 22-9 in the third quarter.

Totta had her second straight 20-point night and finished with 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from the three-point line. Maddie Re notched her seventh double-double putting up 16 points and matching a career-high 16 rebounds. Katie Jaseckas had 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

Totta scored her 1000th point on a jump shot with 5:02 left in the third quarter. She became the 21st player to score 1,000 career points at Truman State and the last to do so since Courtney Strait in 2016. Totta also passed Allie Norton to become 5th on the all-time assist list with four on the night.

Bildner had a double-double of her own with 20 points and 16 rebounds and Lindsey Medlen added 16 points.

The Bulldogs will finish their homestand on Saturday at Pershing Arena as they will meet the University of Missouri-St. Louis (11-11; 6-7 GLVC) at 1 p.m.
