QUINCY, Ill.—The Truman Volleyball team suffered a season sweep from the Quincy Hawks as the Hawks took the rematch in the Prairie State 3-0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-13).

Quincy jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first set and Truman was never able to gain their footing in the set as the Hawks took the set. In the second set, Truman was within one point early on as Ainsley Heise got a kill and a Quincy error made it 3-2 Hawks. Later it was 5-4 Hawks but from there Quincy would expand their lead and Truman could not catch up.

Truman got their first lead of the match of the third when a Heise kill and Quincy error made it 2-1 Bulldogs. But from there a 5-0 spurt from the Hawks gave them a lead in the set they would not relinquish.

Heise led the Bulldogs with five kills and two total blocks, Macy Vanfossan led with 15 digs and Rachel DeFries led with nine assists.

The Bulldogs will close out their season Saturday afternoon as they take on Missouri-St. Louis in the Gateway City.
