MARYVILLE, Mo. - Three Bulldog Weight Throwers earned NCAA Division II provisional marks and took first, second and third respectively as the Truman Track & Field team returned indoors for the first time since 2019.
Jacob Morris, Bobby Campbell and Brendan Baker went 1-2-3 in the weight throw with each surpassing the NCAA provisional meet mark of 17.84 meters. Morris tossed 18.99 meters, Campbell hit 18.95 and Baker topped 18.59. They were personal best marks for Morris and Baker.Â
In the other throwing event on the men's side, Baker was fifth in the Shot Put (14.07m) and Morris was seventh (13.27m).
Kelly Hoskins cleared 12-08.25 in the men's pole vault to finish sixth and he was eighth in the men's triple jump at 12.22m.
Alayna Pipkin posted the highest finish on the women's side with a sixth in the women's 800 meter run and a time of 2:27.02. Natalie Smith was eighth at 2:28.58.
Addison Walker and Acacia Roberts were in the top eight in the women's triple jump. Walker leaped 10.72 (35-02.00) for sixth and Roberts went 9.75 (32-00.00) in her third attempt for eighth.
Sophie Oxandale placed seventh in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.73.
The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday at the Central (Iowa) College Dutch Holiday Preview.
