SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Truman Women's Basketball team saw their season come to en end at the NCAA Midwest regional as #2 Drury downed the Bulldogs 66-51 on Saturday night. Truman finished the abbreviated season with a 17-5 record.
The Bulldogs went punch for punch with Drury to start the game until the Lady Panthers grabbed an 18-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. The lead swelled to 10 points for the first time late before half and Drury took a 35-25 lead into the break.
The Bulldogs cut it down to six but a 7-0 run at the tail end of the third quarter, including a gut-wrenching three-pointer at the end of the quarter by Katie Kirkhart put Drury up 48-35. It was only the fourth made three-pointer this season from Kirkhart.
The run went to 12-0 before Hannah Belanger dropped in a three-pointer. Truman would score eight straight points and got it back to 53-43 before a 4-0 burst by Drury would put the game out of reach.

Katie Jaseckas played all 40 minutes and also notched a double-double to end her Bulldog career with 12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
