RECAP: Truman Wraps Up Home Season With 3-0 Win Over SBU

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Faith Branson scored two goals in the first 15 minutes of the match as the Truman Women's Soccer team downed Southwest Baptist in the home finale this spring 3-0.

Branson scored her first goal just 2:18 into the match on a pass from Cassidy Gann.

In the 15th minute, Branson took a feed from Hanna Hickey and knocked it in for a 2-0 lead. Branson leads the team with six goals in 12 games.
SBU would score on themselves later in the second half.

The Bulldogs peppered the SBU net with 25 total shots, 14 on goal while the Bearcats mustered just three total shots and two on net.

Truman will head to Drury for a Friday evening match with the Lady Panthers to close out the regular season. The Bulldogs are still in the mix for one of the eight spots in the GLVC postseason tournament that will start a week from Monday.
