HAMMOND, Ind. – The Truman Volleyball team left the Midwest Regional Crossover with a pair of wins against Lake Erie (Pa.) and Ursuline College on Saturday. The Bulldogs return to conference play at home next Friday evening hosting Quincy (Ill.).

The Bulldogs hit .418 as a team in a three-set sweep of Lake Erie to open Saturday's action at the Midwest Regional Crossover tournament.
Allison Beaton had nine kills in 14 attacks (.571) and Ainsely Heise put away eight kills on 10 attempts (.800) to lead the Bulldog offensive attack.
Truman State won the first set 25-18 with a pair of service aces by
Annabelle Crowder during a 4-0 run to put the Bulldogs up five points 10-5 early in the set. Lake Erie got as close as three points at 18-15 before a kill by
Lexi Arnel sparked five straight to make it 22-15.
A 7-2 run midway through set two lifted the 'Dogs to a 20-11 lead that they would go on to win 25-17.
Set three also finished 25-17 with a similar 7-1 run at the mid-point of the set and a 4-0 finish.
Emma Baierl had 27 of the team's 30 assists and five Bulldogs had at least one ace of the team's total of 11. Four came by
Jessica Proszenyak. Truman also notched 12 blocks with three each from Heise and Beaton.

Another strong offensive performance by the Bulldogs as they hit .317 in the match in winning in four sets.
Maura Ploesser had 10 kills to go with six service aces to top the 'Dogs.
Ploesser had 26 attacks in the match and added 10 digs for the double-double. She accounted for six of the team's 13 aces and assisted on two blocks.
Hanna Berry hit .583 with eight kills in 12 attacks while
Emma Baierl notched 37 assists.
Truman won set on 25-20 then dominated set two 25-12. Ursuline picked up set three 25-21 before the Bulldogs bounced back to take the match in four at 25-19.
