LIBERTY, Mo. - Truman State volleyball lost to William Jewell (Mo.) 3-2 in a back and forth contest on Friday.
Truman and William Jewell won every other set, with William Jewell winning set one 25-16, set three 30-28, and set five 15-12. Truman took sets two and four 25-21 and 25-23.
The Bulldogs led the game in total points, kills, and assists but were unable to come out with a win.
Jessica Proszenyak and Allison Beaton had great days on offense, with Proszenyak recording 26 kills and Beaton tallied 22. Beaton had a .462 attack percentage, next closest was Proszenyak with a .288 percentage.
Ainsley Heise and Emma Baierl each had two aces. Baierl had remarkable 65 assists in the match.
Molly McGurn led the Bulldogs in digs with 21, followed by Proszenyak with 16 and Baierl with 14.
