Truman Drops 1-0 Decision To Lewis On Sunday

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Lewis' Cameron Sengstock scored her sixth goal of the season midway through the second half and it stood up as the winner in a 1-0 victory over the Truman Women's Soccer team on Sunday afternoon.

Grace DeVaux used the favorable wind direction and played a long ball across the middle of the field that Sengstock caught up to and beat Truman keeper Tatumn Damron on the low right side for the score in the 68th minute of play.

Gianna Gorman had Truman's only shot on set that was secured by Lewis' Bekah Nielsen in the first half. Gorman had two total shots and Truman five while Lewis shot 10 times with three on net.

The Bulldogs fall to 3-5-5 overall and 1-5-3 in conference play and will next be in action a week from Sunday against Quincy. The two teams met in a non-conference match on September 4th, playing to a scoreless draw.
