ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Truman State Men's basketball lost to Lewis University 68-60 on Thursday night.
The Flyers went into the half up 11, with a score of 38-27. Truman shot 11-20 from the field, while Lewis made 15 of their 29 attempts. The Bulldogs were 2-8 on 3-pointers.
Nduka Ogwu scored all of his career-high nine points in the first half, with Hunter Strait scoring eight of his own.
Truman outscored Lewis in the second half 33-30, with Hunter Strait and Xavier Hall trying to complete the comeback. Strait scored 13 in the half, and Hall scored 11. Truman shot 12-33 and hit four threes.
Hunter Strait scored a team and personal season-high in points with 21, followed by Xavier Hall with 11, and Nduka Ogwu with nine. Strait shot an efficient 8-15 from the field. Hall made four of his six shots, and Ogwu shot 4-7.
Truman plays next at Illinois Springfield on Saturday, December 3rd, at 3 p.m.
