KIRKSVILLE, Mo.—The Truman Tennis team opened their spring GLVC slate Friday with a dual against the Quincy Hawks, falling 6-1. Abbi Worster got the lone point of the day for the Bulldogs at sixth singles, though the duo of Julia Fangman and Sam Seggerman won second doubles in a tiebreaker but it was not enough as Quincy took the lone doubles point.

First: Laila Leist-Alston over Allie Brown (TSU) 6-0, 6-0
Second: Blanca Salas Cruz over Akansha Negi (TSU) 6-2, 7-5
Third: Katrin Ismailova over Seggerman (TSU) 6-1, 6-0
Fourth: Steffi Lao over Fangman (TSU) 6-2, 6-3
Fifth: Juliana Vidal over Kennidy Shirey (TSU) 6-0, 6-0
Sixth: Worster (TSU) over Paula Martinez 6-4, 6-2
Doubles:
First: Leist-Alston/Salas Cruz over Brown/Negi (TSU) 6-0
Second: Seggerman/Fangman (TSU) over Ismailova/Martinez 7-6 (7-3 tiebreaker)

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday as they take on Missouri Valley in Marshall, Mo. in a dual that was rescheduled from last week due to weather.
