INDIANOLA, Iowa - Playing a bit shorthanded to start the season, the Truman Women's Tennis team won all seven contested matches to down Simpson (Iowa) College 7-2 on Saturday.
Top doubles team of Akansha Negi and Julia Fangman defeated Kennedi Wright and Donni Kinghorn by an 8-1 score and Abbi Worster and Sydney Dial won 8-2 over Bella Tranquilino/Carina Covington.
All five singles matches were decided in straight sets in favor of the Bulldogs. Negi won 6-1, 6-1, Fangman 6-0, 6-4, Kennidy Shirey 6-1, 6-4, Dial 6-0, 6-0 and Worster 6-1, 6-0.
The Bulldogs return to action next Friday in Quincy for the Hawks Invitational.
