ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis Flyers downed the Truman State Volleyball team 3-1 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match on Friday evening. The Bulldogs will travel to Indianapolis for a Saturday match against the Greyhounds.
The Flyers took the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-10, however the Bulldogs hit .368 in the third set and was able to extend the match to a fourth with a 25-23 victory.
Lewis won the fourth set 25-10.
Allison Beaton and Hanna Berry led the Bulldogs with eight kills each and Dani Kurth scored eight points with seven kills and a pair of assisted blocks. Beaton hit .571 for the match while Berry had the most attempts with 32. Emma Baierl assisted 17 times.
