KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Maryville Saints took down Truman State volleyball in four sets in a late contest on Thursday night.
Maryville got off to a quick start, taking the first set 25-14 before the Bulldogs won the second 25-23 in a back and forth set.
The Saints won the last two sets comfortably, with scores of 25-16 and 25-19.
Truman had 47 total points with 37 kills in the match, and had nine blocks to Maryville's eight.
Hanna Berry was the only Bulldog with double-digit kills with 11, followed by Allison Beaton and Dani Kurth with eight each.
Emma Baierl had Truman's lone kill and also tallied a team-high 17 assists. Tori Creason recorded 13 assists.
Lexi Arnel led Truman in digs with 17, Jessie Julius had 13, and Taylar Schafer had 10.
The Bulldogs play their final game of the season and also celebrate their seniors against Missouri S&T on Saturday, November 11th, at 6 p.m. in Pershing Arena.
