VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Bulldog Weight thrower
Jacob Morris picked up his third All-America honor with an eighth place finish in the men's weight throw at the 2023 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday.
Morris had his best toss of 19.54m (64-1.25) come on his second throw of the meet and that qualified him for the finals in the event. He was not able to improve upon that mark and will take home his second straight All-America honor in the indoor weight throw event and add it with his fourth place Discus finish at the outdoor championships last May.
The winning mark came from Missouri Southern's Peyton Barton at 22.01 meters.
The outdoor season will begin on March 24-25 at the Miner Invitational in Rolla, Missouri.
