ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Truman State lost both games to Maryville 10-3 and 2-1.
Game One:
Truman got out to a 3-1 start after three innings with a Cameryn Patterson RBI double, an Alex Beard sacrifice fly, and a McKenzie West RBI double.
Maryville scored nine unanswered to make it the 10-3 final.
The Bulldogs managed to get five hits from Emily Eberwine, Cameryn Patterson, Alex Beard, McKenzie West, and Maria McGonegle. Beard and West drove in the only runs of the game.
Game Two:
Truman lost the second game 2-1 after great pitching performances from both teams.
Maryville scored their two runs in the first and second innings, and Truman scored their lone run in the third from Alex Beard scoring Alivia Daniels on a groundout.
Callie Unrein, Emily Eberwine, McKenzie West, and Macy Taylor all had a hit each.
Annabel Zimmer threw four innings, giving up one earned run and one unearned. She allowed five hits and struck out one batter. Brooke Nutter threw two shutout innings, striking out two.
Truman plays two against Southwest Baptist tomorrow, April 8th, at noon and 2 p.m.
