KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Truman State Men's basketball fell 92-73 at Rockhurst Thursday night, snapping a three-game winning streak.
The Hawks stepped on the gas late in the first-half, going up 42-17 with 6:19 left. The Bulldogs were able to cut the lead to 11 before half, down 50-39.
Truman State continued to grind away, getting the Rockhurst lead down to four with 9:01 left in the game, but the Hawks went on another run and ended up winning by 19.
Landon Eiland led Truman in scoring, dropping 14 on 6-11 shooting from the field and 2-4 from three. He had a team-high seven rebounds as well, along with an assist.
Brennan Lovette and Casen Lawrence were Truman's other double-digit scorers, both with 12 points. Lovette had six rebounds and an assist, while Lawrence had a rebound, three assists, and two steals.
Xavier Hall led Truman in assists once again, having seven along with eight points.
As a team Truman shot 28-62 (45.2%) from the field and 10-35 (28.6%) from three.
The Bulldogs return to action at William Jewell on Saturday, January 25th, at 3 p.m.
