KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - It was a split weekend for the Truman State Track & Field teams with a pair of athletes competing in multi-events at Central (Iowa) and a half dozen Bulldogs at the University of Iowa Black & Gold Invitational.

Hayden Long recorded a personal best 3,958 points in the men's Heptathlon. On day one, Long scored 2,391 points with a PR in the Long Jump of 6.15 meters and a first place finish in the Shot Put with a best mark of 12.19 meters.

Long finished eighth in the overall competition.

Freshman Vada Moore competed in her first collegiate Pentathlon on Friday. Moore scored 1,858 points with her best individual finish in an event being a fourth in the long jump with a distance of 4.82 meters.

In Iowa City, Raina Baker ran 1:00.85 and Kendall Dascher 1:03.12 in the women's 400 meter dash. Baker finished 12th and Dascher was 15th. Lydia Lehmbeck was sixth in the mile with a time of 5:26.31. On the men's side, Ryan Gustafson placed 17th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.39 and Nolan Meara ran 9:04.65 to finish 12th in the 3000-meter run.

The teams will split off again next weekend with athletes heading to the Bearcat Invite in Maryville, Missouri and the Washburn Open in Topeka, Kansas.
