KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The University of Indianapolis used a 16-7 run to end the first half and ran away from the Truman State women on Wednesday night 80-54 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game. Molly Joyce led the Bulldogs in scoring with 14 points with three made three-pointers.
Truman State trailed 28-23 with just under seven minutes left in the second quarter before the Bulldogs went cold from the field and UINDY turned up the scoring. The Greyhounds finished the half on a 16-7 run as Elana Wells scored 17 points.
The lead kept swelling before reaching 33 points at 74-41 early in the fourth quarter.
Ellie Weltha was also in double-figures with 11 points, nine coming in the first half.
The Bulldogs will look to break a five-game conference losing streak when they head out to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip.
