Cross Country Hits Regional Course For Postseason Preview

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – In a preview of the upcoming NCAA Midwest regional races, the Truman State Cross Country teams competed at Lewis University at the Flyers' Crossover.
 
Addie Mathis finished the six-kilometer course in 21:48.31 to place 24th overall and lead the Bulldog women. Kate Yates was the next Truman State runner to finish in 139th position and in a time of 23:13.66. The rest of the Bulldog top five were Carmen Gentilia in 153rd at 23:18.88, Clare Stahr in 158th in 23:23.54 and Lydia Lehmbeck in 170th at 23:30.14.
 
The women's team placed 20th with 562 total points out of 36 teams entered in the division.
 
The Bulldog men competed in the open 8-kilometer division with Evan AuBuchon leading the way with a time of 26:11.67 and placing 22nd. Jacob Gutzman was next in 33rd at 26:28.27. Gavin Hill was third in 54th place with a time of 26:57.06. Fourth and fifth went to Nolan Meara in 83rd at 27:23.24 and Andrew Gonski in 93rd at 27:31.58.
 
The men placed ninth out of 16 schools with 233 points.
 
Next up will be the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on October 26 in Springfield, Illinois.
