SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -
Lexy Henrikson,
Addie Mathis and
Kate Yates all earned all-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors as the Truman State Women's Cross Country team finished third at the league's championship race on Saturday.
Henrikson ran the 6-kilometer course in 21:48.34 and scored 10 team points with an overall finish of 12
th position.
Mathis was right at her heels with a time of 21:51.29 and earned 11 points with a 13
th place finish.
Yates was able to finish 20
th to get the all-conference nod and ran 22:16.77 to score 18 points.
Four Bulldogs finished in a pack from 24
th through 27
th place.
Lydia Lehmbeck was first at 22:34.12,
Cora Stimpson next at 22:36.63,
Kati Schoeneberg at 22:42.12 and
Carmen Gentilia at 22:48.35.
Lewis University won the meet with a perfect 15 points and occupied nine of the first 10 places in the individual standings. Southwest Baptist was just in front of the Bulldogs with 77 points and host Illinois Springfield trailed Truman State by 16 points.
