KIRKSVILLE, Mo. –
Dylan Hair was an efficient 12-or-16 passing for 287 yards and four touchdown passes as the Truman State Bulldogs routed Lincoln (Mo.) 52-7 at Stokes Stadium on Saturday.
The Bulldogs benefited from a fumble on the opening kickoff and
Noah Copeland reeled in a 5-yard pass from Hair to start the barrage. Hair would connect with
Kel Battle (29-yards) and
Elijah Stevens (53-yards) in the first quarter to open a 21-0 lead.
Denim Cook scored two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter, the first from eight yards out and the next a one-yard plunge.
The Blue Tigers' lone score came just before the half on a 23-yard pass from Isaiah Tate to Tobias Williams.
Truman State wasted little time to answer back with a quick three-play, 65-yard touchdown drive with
Jackson Overton pulling in a 23-yard pass from Hair just 21 seconds into the third quarter.
Stevens would score on a five-yard rush and
Vinnie Calvaruso capped the scoring on a 22-yard field goal.
The Bulldogs posted 560 yards of total offense with 255 on the ground and 305 in the air. Lincoln was held to 206 yards on the day with 26 rushing and 180 passing.
Truman State will play its final road game of the year next Saturday. The game will start at 3 p.m. at William Jewell in Liberty, Missouri.
