SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Minnesota State's Kyreese Willingham scored 31 in a 95-64 defeat of Truman State at Augustana's Bill Gross Classic Saturday.
The Bulldogs held a 12-10 advantage with 13 minutes to play in the first half when a Minnesota State three pointer gave the Mavericks a lead they would not relinquish. Leading 62-26 at the half, Truman State never managed to get back within 26 points with the Mavericks taking the points off turnover battle 26-11. Minnesota State, 14-31 for 45.2 percent in threes, dominated Truman State behind the arc as the Purple and White could muster just 5-26 for 19.2 percent in three-point shooting.

The Bulldogs fall to 4-3 on the campaign and will look for their first win against one loss in GLVC action at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 5, at Southwest Baptist (Mo.) in Bolivar. Minnesota State evens its 2024-25 record at 4-4.
