INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of Truman State Track & Field athletes were selected by league coaches as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Athletes of the Week. Juniors Destiny Zimdars and Hayden Long earned their first weekly award for their performances this past weekend.
 
Zimdars competed in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw at the Dutch Holiday Preview last Friday. She placed 14^th in the Shot with a mark of 9.75 meters and was fourth in the Weight at 14.13 meters.
 
Long set two new personal best marks in his three events also at the Dutch Holiday Preview meet. He cleared 3.85 meters to place sixth in the Pole Vault and had a PR Shot Put mark of 13.37 meters to finish eighth. In his other event, Long jumped 6.43 meters to place sixth in the Long Jump.
