Tal Dean Homers In Loss To Washburn

TOPEKA, Kan. - Truman State baseball fell to Washburn in the second game of the series.

The Washburn Ichabods poured it on early, going up 6-0 over the Bulldogs after two innings.

In the third inning, Colin Mueth hit a double down the left field line and Tal Dean hit his first home run of the season to get two runs on the board. The double and home run were Truman's only hits of the game.

Ty Rauser, Evan Stil, Jordan Marlott, Nate Bartlett, and Kyle Stratman all made pitching appearances. Stratman threw 0.2 innings, striking out two and allowing one hit with no runs.

Tal Dean went 1-3 with a home run and two RBI, and Colin Mueth went 1-2 with a double.

Dylan Thompson and PJ Jerszyński both got walked.

The Bulldogs look to take the series win tomorrow against the Ichabods at 1 p.m.
