SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Truman Tennis team returned to action with a 5-2 road win over Evangel (Mo.) University on Friday afternoon.
Out of the gate,
Akansha Negi and
Abbi Worster took number two doubles 6-1 and
Samantha Seggerman and
Cora Wood secured the doubles point with a 6-3 win.
Allie Brown and
Sydney Dial had to play a tie-breaker in their number one doubles match and prevailed 7-6 (7-2).
Brown avenged some previous losses to Rachel Chaney at number one singles with a 6-1, 6-1 straight set win.
Sydney Dial claimed number three,
Abbi Worster picked up number four and
Samantha Seggerman won the fifth singles for Truman State.
The Bulldogs return to action on February 24
th with a pair of matches against Principia and Webster.
