KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Two seniors were recognized as the Truman State Tennis team closed out their season on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Southwest Baptist University.
Akansha Negi and
Abbi Worster fought hard but fell by a 6-4 score at number two doubles as the Bearcats grabbed the team point by winning all three matches.
Sydney Dial also had a tough match before dropping a 7-5, 6-3 decision at the hands of SBU's Elas Pascual. Dial led the Bulldogs with 13-6 singles record this season.
Allie Brown and
Samantha Seggerman wrapped up their Bulldog tennis careers in the match. Both contributed greatly to the team, school and will be missed. Brown played number one singles the past three seasons and won 24 matches in her career. She also won 23 doubles matches. Seggerman played matches in five of the six singles spots and won 25 singles matches and 26 doubles contests.
