Truman State baseball will play their final four games of the season this week at Upper Iowa in Fayette. The Bulldogs take on the Peacocks Thursday, Friday, and Saturday instead of the normal Friday-Sunday.

Truman is coming off a tough series at UINDY, where the Bulldogs were unable to come out with a win. Their Saturday doubleheader was tightly contested, with the Bulldogs falling 7-6 in extras then 9-7 in the second game.

Freshman Colin Mueth had an exceptional weekend, going 9-18 at the plate for a .500 average. Mueth had a four-hit game on Sunday, and added a double, four runs, and two stolen bases.

Kyle Stratman, Drew Hnilo, and Brian Bruxvoort all had scoreless pitching performances. Stratman and Hnilo both threw 1.2 innings and Bruxvoort tossed 0.2.

The Upper Iowa Peacocks are 10-33 overall and 7-25 in conference play.

Truman State University will be the site for the 2024 GLVC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Stokes Stadium and Gardner Track will be where the events are held from May 2-4.

Jacob Morris competed in the Drake Relays while the rest of the teams were at the Kip Janvrin Invite at Simpson College.

Truman had 10 top-10 finishers at the Kip Janvrin Invite and Morris had a season-best 56.58m discus throw for a fifth place finish, and placed 22nd in the hammer throw.

For the first time in five years, Truman State softball will compete in the GLVC Softball Championship Tournament after sweeping Maryville and Missouri S&T last week.

The Bulldogs took the first game from S&T 2-1, then won the second game 7-1.

 Cassie Smith had two of Truman's four hits in the first game, driving in both runs as well. Madie Anderson and tossed 5.0 innings with one earned run, and Kaylyn Jones got the save after throwing 2.0 shutout innigns. 

Emily Wood, Cameryn Patterson, and Sofia Birkenholz all had two hits in the second game. Wood and Cali Coombs had a team-high two RBI.

Truman State tennis travels to Kansas City, Mo. for the GLVC Tennis Championships.

In Truman's last match against Southwest Baptist, Akansha Negi and Abbi Worster fought hard but fell by a 6-4 score at number two doubles as the Bearcats grabbed the team point by winning all three matches.
 
Sydney Dial also had a tough match before dropping a 7-5, 6-3 decision at the hands of SBU's Elas Pascual.  Dial led the Bulldogs with 13-6 singles record this season.
 
Allie Brown and Samantha Seggerman wrapped up their Bulldog tennis careers in the match. Both contributed greatly to the team, school and will be missed. Brown played number one singles the past three seasons and won 24 matches in her career. She also won 23 doubles matches. Seggerman played matches in five of the six singles spots and won 18 singles matches and 22 doubles contests.
