Truman State baseball looks to get back on track this week with four games against Missouri S&T at home.

Last week, the Bulldogs lost four games at Rockhurst and snapped their two-game winning streak. Against Rockhurst, Colin Mueth had a fantastic series, going 4-9 at the plate with a double, run, and a stolen base. Pitchers Isaac Epp and Alex Leary had solid outings, with Epp throwing 5.2 innings with two earned runs and Leary throwing 5.0 innings with two earned.

Truman's freshman hitters have been great so far, with Dakota Joggerst leading the team in average at .348. Colin Mueth is third with a .310 average, and Oliver Degenhardt posts a .279 mark.

Closer Jaren Guck still has a 0.00 ERA this season through 11.1 innings pitched. Guck has struck out nine batters to four walks and has kept his opponents to a batting average of 0.83.

The Missouri S&T Miners are 19-15 overall and 9-11 in GLVC play. S&T has six qualified hitters batting .300+.

Following a weekend where Truman State went 3-1, the Bulldogs play McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis on the road.

Against Rockhurst and William Jewell last weekend, the Bulldogs split the series against the Hawks and swept the Cardinals to improve to 17-19 and 9-5 in the GLVC.

The Bulldogs have five hitters posting a batting average over .300, with Emily Wood leading the way at .385. Charlotte Chelich (.341), Cali Coombs (.333), Cassie Smith (.317), and Cameryn Patterson (.306), are the four others over .300.

Kaylyn Jones now holds a 7-3 record after the weekend, and has a team-best .398 ERA. She has struck out 30 batters to only 18 walks.

The Bulldogs hit the road again after hosting the Truman State Invitational last week. This week, Truman goes to Edwardsville, Ill. for the SIUE Cougar Classic.

In the Truman State Invitational, Jacob Morris, Addison Walker, Maddy Hall, Cooper Doolin, and Kate Yates all won events. Morris was victorious in the discus and javelin, Walker won the triple jump, Hall won the 200-meter dash, Doolin won the 100-meter dash, and Yates won the 5000-meter run.

Truman State tennis takes on GLVC opponent Quincy this Saturday in Kirksville following a 5-2 win against Grand View University.

Against Grand View, the Bulldogs won three matches by default and in the contested matches Akansha Negi fell Grand View's No. 1, Sydnay Dial won in straight sets, and Abbi Worster lost in a tiebreaker.

Truman State golf go to St. Louis for the UMSL Ladies Spring Invite at Norwood Hills Country Club for their final contest before the GLVC Championships.

In their last competition, the Drury University Midwest Intercollegiate Tournament, Reese Stovall was Truman's best performance after scoring an 87 and an 85. Catherine Salem had rounds of 90 and 86, Ana Gonzalez and Madalyn Breckenridge tied with a total score of 191, and Lauren Prys had a total of 207.
