Truman State baseball looks to get back on track this week with four games against Missouri S&T at home.
Last week, the Bulldogs lost four games at Rockhurst and snapped their two-game winning streak. Against Rockhurst, Colin Mueth had a fantastic series, going 4-9 at the plate with a double, run, and a stolen base. Pitchers Isaac Epp and Alex Leary had solid outings, with Epp throwing 5.2 innings with two earned runs and Leary throwing 5.0 innings with two earned.
Truman's freshman hitters have been great so far, with Dakota Joggerst leading the team in average at .348. Colin Mueth is third with a .310 average, and Oliver Degenhardt posts a .279 mark.
Closer Jaren Guck still has a 0.00 ERA this season through 11.1 innings pitched. Guck has struck out nine batters to four walks and has kept his opponents to a batting average of 0.83.
The Missouri S&T Miners are 19-15 overall and 9-11 in GLVC play. S&T has six qualified hitters batting .300+.
