KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The University of Indianapolis (UINDY) Greyhounds defeated Truman State Men's Soccer team, 1-0, in the first conference action of '24.
The Bulldogs kept things scoreless until the 82nd minute when UINDY's Alvaro Sanchez found the net to provide the winning goal. Truman State fended off 15 total shots, including 4 on goal, with saves to keeper Justin Olwig, but were unable to even things before time ran out.
This marks the second consecutive match against UINDY where a late score spelled trouble for Truman State when the 'Dogs surrendered two goals after the 77th minute to be eliminated in the 2023 GLVC postseason tournament, 2-1.
The Bulldogs' 2024 season record falls to 1-2-0 overall, 0-1 in the GLVC, while UINDY starts the conference season 1-0 with a 1-2-0 overall record.
