MARYVILLE, Mo. - For the second consecutive meet, Truman State's Addie Mathis broke another school record as the Truman State Track & Field teams resumed their indoor season at the Richard Alsup Invite at Northwest Missouri State on Saturday.
Mathis ran 2:12.11 to break the school record in the 800-meter run. The previous mark was 2:14.56 held by former teammate Sophie Oxandale set in 2023. Mathis finished third in the event that featured 15 Bulldog women's runners. Lexy Henrikson was fourth and set a PR time of 2:15.06. Those two teamed up with Phoebe Canatsey and Raina Baker to place fourth in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:02.36.
Justin Moeller achieved an NCAA Division II provisional height and set a new personal record in the process by winning the men's Pole Vault. Moeller cleared 4.78 meters besting his previous top height of 4.40 meters. Hayden Long was fifth in the event.Â
Moeller was ninth in the 60-meter hurdles, sixth in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump to wrap up his busy day.
The Bulldogs return to the Multipurpose Building on the campus of the University of Central Missouri for the UCM Invite next Friday. Truman State has not competed at the Multi since 2013 when it was the annual spot of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Indoor conference championships.Â
