PELLA, Iowa – Career bests abound for the Bulldogs after Day 1 of the Dutch Winter Multis at Central College with graduate student multi/jumps Justin Moeller pacing the field.
 
Moeller set three personal marks en route to finishing the day with 2941 points and the lead in the heptathlon. Beating his 60m time by .01, his shot put of 11.61m also set his career mark while his 2.02m high jump not only set a new career mark but led the field. Moeller's 6.80m long jump was .01 better than the second-best jump of 6.79m.
 
Junior multi/throws Hayden Long completed the day in fifth place with 2701 points while setting a career best shot put throw of 1.78m.
 
The men's heptathlon resumes Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the 60m, pole vault, and 1000m run. Sophomore jumps/multi Vada Moore will compete for the 'Dogs on the women's side in the pentathlon scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
